March 29, 2017

In Puerto Rico, we're lucky to enjoy beautiful weather, incredible ocean views, and breathtaking lush rainforest. Anyone who loves nature will feel right at home, and if you want to learn more about this unique ecosystem, you can join one of our nature tours at Bahia Beach.Or join them all! If spending time outdoors is high on your list of must-do Puerto Rico activities, we hope to see you on all five of our tours. These nature tours are guided by biologists and environmental interpreters who will share their expertise about the plants, trees, birds, and animals that make their homes in the forest. The tours are short enough that you could participate in one every day and still have time to hang out on the beach, tour Old San Juan, or play a round of golf.

Nature Tour

Let's get started on Thursday at 10:30 am. This complimentary tour takes about an hour, and is a great way to start your day. It winds through the forest so you can visit the termites, listen to woodpeckers and hummingbirds, and learn about the coastal habitat important to the sea turtles and manatees.A maximum of seven people are welcome on this trip, but if you can't make it on Thursday, it leaves at 10:30am on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, as well.

Estuary River Experience

Make sure to set your alarm clocks for Friday morning, so you can meet us at 9:30 am at the Clubhouse. For one hour, we'll get to know the Espíritu Santo River as we pass along the red mangrove forest. Keep an eye out for woodpeckers, crabs, fish, and a wide variety of wetland birds. This tour accepts a maximum of 12 people, for a donation fee, but it's only available on Fridays, so get there early! Snacks and water are provided.
