In June, the Bahia Beach Resort & Golf Club hosted the Member & Guest Golf Tournament in Puerto Rico, and it was most definitely one for the books. The entire tournament, as well as the after party, was inspired by the rich culture and traditions of Cuba, and it’s safe to say that our members, guests and staff had an incredible time.
While the big event started on Friday, June 10, at our Puerto Rico luxury resort, the real festivities started on Thursday evening. El Metropol Restaurant provided participants with delectable authentic dishes so they could properly kickoff the upcoming golf tournament, here at Bahia Beach in Puerto Rico. Members and guests alike, enjoyed speaking about the impending competition, and enjoying each other’s company.On Friday, the golf tournament kicked off with 132 players in 11 flights. The battle for a champion was intense, with many close calls along the way. In the end, it came down to member Edwin David Rivera and his guest Henry Stewart versus Jose “Gury” Colon and Charlie Vega. Rivera and Stewart ended up taking home the trophy after a nail-biting chip off. And so we congratulate them both for their victory! From beginning to end, the annual members and guests golf tournament in Puerto Rico was truly unforgettable.
